Iranian Mathematical Association annually holds a tournament named "Student Mathematics Competition" to foster healthy excitement among the country's universities' undergraduate Mathematics students. The inaugural tournament was conducted at Tehran University in March 1973 in conjunction with the nation's fourth Mathematics conference, while the 46th competition took place at University of Tabriz in 2024.
On the competition's final day, the results are revealed, and the best players get awards.
Each institution sends a team of exceptional undergraduate students to compete. Following the competition, the association's website and newsletter will publish questions, answers, and lists of the winning teams and individuals.
