    Biomechanics engineering department

This department was established in 1995 in school of mechanical engineering. Having deficiency courses taken in their first year of studies, graduate students are exposed to multi disciplinary programs to join medical and engineering science. There are other disciplines in the same field as well. These majors are bio-electric and bio-materials.

Perhaps modeling and recognition of human body’s biomechanical parameters are most prevailing research areas in this field. This is due the fact that, upon attainment of research results, graduates of bio-mechanical engineering will be able to:

Design and make artificial parts and systems of human body.

1- Design and analysis of mechanical divisions of medical equipments as well as paramedical

  2- Devices and handicap’s accessories.

It is noteworthy that topics such as tissue engineering and nanobiotechnology having recently emerged have caused the field of bioengineering to flourish more than ever before.
