Office

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology has overall managerial responsibility for IUST research activities. It seeks to maintain a research environment that fosters creativity, collaboration and community. Its specific goals are to provide effective support for campus-wide research efforts; to advocate research requirements and resources; and to maximize the benefits of IUST research to the scholarly community and to the quality of life in the local community, and the nation.
Administrative support for research is carried out within departments, research centers, incubator center, and through several subsidiary organizations. The office works with campus inventors to facilitate transfer of technologies created in the university to the commercial sectors for public use and benefit. The scope of its activities include: evaluating the commercial potentials of new technologies, prosecuting patents, registering copyrights, marketing and licensing patents, and negotiating license agreements. We value:
