After the successful implementation of three main research projects in the field of the Information and knowledge Societies from 2011 to 2013, Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) led to establish a research center in 2013 named "IUST Research Center for ICT Strategic and International Studies" (in short, ICT-SIS). The main goal of the center is providing research services as the center of excellence in ICT international activities and strategic planning in Iran. The center is appointed by IUST research and technology vice chancellor to plan and expand scientific cooperation with international telecommunication union (ITU).
