Abstract
This contribution evaluates the influence of Cr doping on the ground state properties of SrTiO3 Perovskite using GGA-PBE approximation. Results of the simulated model infer agreement with the previously published literature. The modification of electronic structure and optical properties due to Cr3+ doping levels in SrTiO3 has been investigated. Structural parameters infer that Cr3+ doping alters the electronic structures of SrTiO3 by shifting the conduction band through lower energies for the Sr and Ti sites. Substituting Ti site by Cr3+ results the energy gap in being eliminated revealing a new electrical case of conducting material for the system. Furthermore, it has been noticed that Cr doping either at Sr or Ti positions could effectively develop the SrTiO3 dielectric constant properties. Consequently, Cr3+ is an effective dopant due to enhancing the optical absorption properties, thus opening up new prospects for optoelectronic applications.

Abstract
Novelty: Most of the open literature research has focused on the microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of AA2050 alloy. Also, a significant study discusses the corrosion behavior of AA2050 alloy based on immersion and electrochemical characteristics. The influence of heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of friction stir processed AA2050 alloy is scarcely discussed in the open literature. The hot salt corrosion characteristics of friction stir processed AA2050 seldom exists in the available literature. This study concentrates on microhardness, tensile strength, and corrosion properties of friction stir processed AA2050. Also, the work focuses on the influence of artificial aging on the microhardness, and tensile strength of the friction stir processed AA2050.

Abstract
In this work, we demonstrate the beneficial effect of introducing a superficial porous silicon layer on the electronic quality of multi-crystalline silicon for photovoltaic cell application. The porous silicon was formed using an acid vapor etching-based method. The porous silicon layer rich in hydrogen and oxygen formed by vapor etching is an excellent passivating agent for the mc-Si surface. Laser beam-induced current (LBIC) analysis of the exponentiation parameter (n) and surface current mapping demonstrates that oxygen and hydrogen-rich porous silicon led to excellent surface passivation with a strong electronic quality improvement of multi-crystalline silicon. It was found that the generated current of treated silicon by acid vapor etching-based method is 20 times greater as compared to the reference substrate, owing to recombination centers passivation of the grains and grain boundaries (GBs); The actual study revealed an apparent decrease in the recombination velocity of the minority carrier as reflected by 25% decrease in the exponentiation parameter (n) of the LBIC versus X-position measurements. These results make achieved porous silicon a good option for advancing efficient photovoltaic cells.

In the present study, the structural and magnetic characteristics of Fe-Co-Cr system, with 28 at. % of Cr content, during casting, solutioning and thermo-magnetic treatment has been investigated. Based on results, the formation of single α-phase solid solution in the Fe72-xCoxCr28 (10The Co content had negligible effects on magnetic characteristics of Fe62Co10Cr28, Fe60Co12Cr28 and Fe58Co14Cr28 alloys. Fe72-xCoxCr28 (10 with a constant Cr content of about 28 at. %, were outside the miscibility gap in the equilibrium phase diagram, and therefore TMT had no effect on the final magnetic properties.

Abstract
Investigation the structural and magnetic properties of nanocrystalline Co78Zr17B2Si1W2 alloy during melt spinning and annealing processes were the main goal of this study. In this regard, samples were prepared using vacuum induction melting, melt spinning and subsequent annealing. The specimens were evaluated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). Based on results, nanocrystalline Co5Zr single phase with hard magnetic properties (Ms=29.5 emu/g and Hc=2.7 kOe) successfully formed during melt spinning process (at wheel speed of 40 m.s-1). The coercivity value of rapid solidified sample increased to about 3.2 kOe during annealing process up to 400°C. However, more increasing in annealing temperature lead to the transformation of non-equilibrium magnetic Co5Zr phase to stable Zr2Co11 phase, which has distractive effects on final magnetic properties.

Abstract
In the present study, bulk refined-structured Al 5083 alloy with high mechanical properties was successfully fabricated by hot consolidation process of nanostructured melt- spun flakes. The influence of cooling rate and pressing conditions on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloy were investigated using X-ray diffractometer (XRD), optical microscopy (OM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), microhardness, and compression tests. Rapid solidification combined with the hot consolidation at T=753 K (480 °C) and P= 800 MPa for 20 min produced a bulk sample with the desirable bonding, good microhardness (184.2±12.4 HV), and high strength (273±8 MPa) combined with 7 pct. fracture strain. These amounts are 78.6±5.1 HV, 148 ±9 MPa and about 5 pct. for the as-cast sample. Microstructural refinement during the controlled consolidation of nanostructure rapidly- solidified flakes contributes to such high mechanical properties of the bulk sample.

Abstract
This paper introduces a method for producing red copper glaze by adding copper oxide (CuO) and silicon carbide (SiC) additives to the base glaze. SiC created a reducing environment in situ and allowed the glaze to be sintered in an oxidizing furnace environment. Nanocrystals are the determinants of the red color of the glaze. The CuO reduction reaction temperature range of SiC produces a reducing environment in the glaze as detected by the method (DSC). The functional group and phase of nanocrystals were determined by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectroscopy.

Graphene Nanoparticles (GNPs), an upshot of nanotechnology have attracted great interest in diverse research fields including dentistry for their unique properties. Graphene Nanoparticles are cytocompatible and when combined with other compounds, they possess improved synergistic antimicrobial and anti-adherence properties against oral pathogens. The cytotoxicity of graphene in the oral setting has been reported to be very limited in the scientific literature. Current applications of graphene include reinforcing Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) for the fabrication of dentures, improving properties of dental luting agents like glass ionomer cement, reinforcing restorative composites and ceramics, and improving osseointegration of titanium dental implants by coating with graphene. This paper reviews the nanoparticle ‘Graphene’ and its potential uses in the field of restorative dentistry.

Abstract
Friction stir additive manufacturing (FSAM) is a variant of sheet lamination additive manufacturing used to produce large, near-net-shaped 3D parts. Unlike traditional friction stir lap welding, FSAM introduces a new plate to one that is already joined, with the effective area limited to the nugget zone. The present study focuses on exploring the microstructure and microhardness around the nugget zone in a five-plate AA 7075-T651 laminate synthesized at 1000 rpm and 35 mm/min. Microhardness increased vertically in the weldment NZ, reaching 143 HV in the top layer with 2.0 μm fine equiaxed grains. The grains on the advancing and retreating sides were coarser compared to the nugget zone. A W-shaped microhardness profile appeared across layer interfaces. These findings contribute significantly to advancing the FSAM technique, particularly in manufacturing multi-layered, multi-pass laminates.

Abstract
The Mn-Zn ferrite with a composition of Mn0.25Mg0.08Cu0.25Zn0.42Fe2O4 has been synthesized in this study using the chemical sol-gel technique at a pH of 7. The sample was prepared and subsequently annealed at a temperature of 700°C. The nanocrystalline ferrite samples were subjected to characterization using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Thermogravimetry (TG), and Differential thermal analysis (DTA). The findings of these observations are delineated and deliberated. The sample's phase composition was verified using X-ray diffraction examination. The crystalline size was determined using Scherrer's formula and was observed to be within the range of 20-75 nm. Two notable stretching bands were seen in the FTIR spectra within the range of 400-650 cm-1. The spinel structure of the produced nanoparticles was confirmed by these two bands. The magnetic characteristics of the powder were examined using a Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). The presence of M-H hysteresis loops suggests that the produced nanoparticles have superparamagnetic properties, as evidenced by their low coercive force, remanent magnetization, and saturation magnetization values.

Abstract
High thermal conductivity, low coefficient of thermal expansion makes P92 a candidate material for Ultra Super Critical (USC) power plant piping. Microstructural features viz., high dislocation density, lath martensitic microstructure, fine precipitates of M23C6 and MX (X=C, N) contribute towards the high rupture strength. However, most components are typically subjected to multiaxial stress conditions; either metallurgical (weldments), or mechanical (change in the dimension). The present work involves stress rupture testing of circumferential 60° V- notch specimens in the range of 300 – 375 MPa at 650 °C. Notch strengthening effect was observed; with rupture times ranging from 200 – 1300 h. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) fractography revealed mixed mode of fracture with brittle fracture observed at notch root, while ductile fracture was seen at the centre of the specimen.

Pressureless sintering was employed at 1400 °C to synthesize Ti matrix composites (TMCs) reinforced with in-situ TiB and TiC reinforcements using TiB2 and B4C initial reinforcements. The microstructure and wear behavior of the synthesized composites were evaluated and compared and the results showed that B4C caused the formation of TiB-TiC in-situ hybrid reinforcements in the Ti matrix. Also, TiB was in the form of blades/needles and whiskers, and TiC was almost equiaxed. Moreover, the volume fraction of the in-situ formed reinforcement using B4C was much higher than that formed using TiB2. In addition, although the hardness of the B4C-synthesized composites was higher, the composite synthesized using 3 wt.% TiB2 exhibited the highest hardness (425 HV). The wear test results showed that the sample synthesized using 3 wt.% TiB2 showed the lowest wear rate at 50 N, mainly because of its higher hardness. The dominant wear mechanism in the samples synthesized using 3 wt.% B4C was abrasive and delamination at 50 N and 100 N, respectively while in the samples synthesized 3 wt.% TiB2, a combination of delamination and adhesive wear and adhesive wear was ruling, respectively.

Abstract
Acrylic resins are one of the most important thermoplastic resins used in various industries due to their significant properties. However, they are inherently brittle and addition plasticizers to them is very common. In this study, role of both Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) and Triacetin on the mechanical properties of acrylic resin have been investigated. To do so tensile test, bending and wear tests have been performed. To achieve the optimal mixture of plasticizers, a tensile test has been carried out, and the best percentage of the mixture has been determined. Subsequently, bending and wear tests were conducted, which showed a significant increase in the bending strength of the acrylic resin after the addition of plasticizers. Furthermore, it was found that the abrasion mechanism of the resin was significantly altered compared to its pure state.

Abstract
The stability of microstructure at high temperatures is necessary for many applications. This paper presents investigations on the effect of changes in temperature on the microstructures of additively manufactured Ti6Al4V(ELI) alloy, as a prelude to high temperature fatigue testing of the material. In the present study, a Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) EOSINT M290 was used to additively manufacture test samples. Produced samples were stress relieved and half of these were then annealed at high temperatures. The samples were then heated from room temperature to various temperatures, held there for three hours and thereafter, cooled slowly in the air to room temperature. During tensile testing, the specimens was heated up to the intended test temperature and held there for 30 minutes, and then tensile loads applied to the specimens till fracture. Metallographic samples were then prepared for examination of their microstructures both at the fracture surfaces and away from them. The obtained results showed that changes in temperature do have effects on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti6Al4V(ELI) alloy. It is concluded in the paper that changes in temperature will affect the fatigue properties of the alloy.

Abstract
The present work deals with the hot deformation behavior of commercial Nb alloy C-103 and its microstructure evolution during uniaxial compression tests in the temperature range of 700-1100 °C and the strain rate range of 0.001-0.4 s-1. Strain rate sensitivity, calculated from the compression tests data, was almost constant and showed a negative value in the temperature range of 700-900 °C but increased significantly beyond 900 °C. Dynamic strain aging was found to have a predominant effect up to 900 °C, beyond which dynamic recovery and oxidation influenced the compressive properties. The microstructure of the deformed samples showed indications of dynamic recrystallization within the high strain rate sensitivity domain and features of flow instability in the regime of low strain rate sensitivity. The 950–1000 °C temperature range and strain rate range of 0.001-0.1 s-1 were suggested as suitable hot deformation conditions. The constitutive equation was established to describe the alloy's flow behavior, and the average activation energy for plastic flow was calculated to be 267 kJ/mol.

Abstract
High entropy intermetallic compounds (HEICs) are an interesting class of materials combining the properties of multicomponent solid solutions and the ordered superlattices in a single material. In this work, microstructural and magnetic properties of (CoCuFeMnNi)Al, (CoCuFeMnNi)Zn3, (FeCoMnNiCr)3Sn2, (FeCoNiMn)3Sn2 and Cu3(InSnSbGaGe) HEICs fabricated by induction melting are studied. The magnetic properties of the HEICs was determined mainly by the nature of the magnetic momentum of the constituent elements. (CoCuFeMnNi)Al and (CoCuFeMnNi)Zn3 displayed ferromagnetic behavior at 5 K, while indicated linear dependency of magnetization vs. magnetic (i.e. paramagnetic or antiferromagnetic state) at 300 K. The magnetization of (FeCoMnNiCr)3Sn2, (FeCoNiMn)3Sn2 and Cu3(InSnSbGaGe) HEICs at 300 K exhibited a nearly linear dependency to magnetic field. Among all the investigated samples, (CoCuFeMnNi)Al exhibited the best magnetic properties with a saturation magnetization of about Ms = 6.5 emu/g and a coercivity of about Hc = 100 Oe.

In this work, the effect of variation of the non-ideality coefficient of the p-n-junction volt-ampere (I-V) characteristic located in the strong microwave field on the differential resistance, diffusion capacitance and differential conductance is studied. Here, it is shown that the p-n junction I-V characteristics increases with the value of the non-ideality coefficient, whether the differential resistance is in a strong microwave field or a weak microwave field. Diffusion capacitance and differential conductance are shown to decrease with increasing value of non-ideality coefficient.

Abstract
Natural-reinforced hybrid composites, called "eco-materials," are becoming increasingly important for protecting the environment and eliminating waste problems. In this study, hybrid biocomposites were produced by the colloidal mixing method using seashell (SS) as natural waste, two graphene derivatives (graphene oxide (GO) and reduced graphene oxide (RGO)) as filler material, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the polymer matrix. The crystallization and mechanical properties of hybrid biocomposites were examined based on their thermal properties using TGA and DSC analysis. In comparison to PVC/GO and PVC/RGO composites with identical weight percentages of GO and RGO, the PVC/GO composite exhibited superior thermal stability and crystallinity, resulting in elevated hardness values for the same composite. These results were attributed to the better interaction of GO with PVC due to the higher number of oxygen-containing functional groups in GO than in RGO. However, the PVC/RGO/SS hybrid biocomposites exhibited superior properties than PVC/GO/SS hybrid biocomposites. The greatest crystallinity values were 39.40% for PVC/RGO/SS-20 compared to PVC/RGO at 20 wt% SS content and 29.21% for PVC/GO/SS-20 compared to PVC/GO. The PVC/RGO/SS-20 hybrid biocomposite showed the greatest gain in hardness value, up 18.47% compared to the PVC/RGO composite. No significant change was observed in the melting and weight loss temperatures as the SS content increased; however, the crystallinity and glass transition temperatures in hybrid biocomposites increased as the SS content increased. All analysis results demonstrated the achievement of SS-graphene-PVC interactions, suggesting that SS waste could enhance the thermal and mechanical properties of composite production.
