Presentation of the activities of IUST and UT5 in the Iran-Italy Cooperation Webinar

Specialized webinar of the role of international research and technology cooperation in promotion of the collaboration opportunities held online on Dec. 17, 2020. The event held simultaneous to the opening of the virtual exhibition of the research and technology that was held by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology and with the attending and presentations of Iran’s acting minister for international scientific cooperation of MSRT, Iran’s ambassador to Italy, Italy’s ambassador to Iran, and director general of research and technology development of MSRT.

Dr. Shahhoseini, vice chancellor for international affairs of IUST reviewed IUST’s activities with Italian universities and industries in the ground of railway transportation, and exchange of students and faculty members, and presented the 2+2 partnership model including 2 universities and 2 industries from each side for cooperation. He also introduced UT5 including Iran University of Science and Technology, Sharif University of Technology, Amir Kabir University of Technology, Isfahan University of Technology, and K. N. Toosi University of Technology and mentioned the prominent capacities of these universities for  international cooperation. Also he presented a brief of the cooperation of these universities with Italy and mentioned holding of joint courses and scientific projects as the priorities of UT5.
This webinar was held by general office of research and technology development of MSRT that is Iran’s leading house for cooperation with Italy. Representatives from Sapienza University, Naples University, Sahrif University of Technology, Isfahan Industrial Towns Company, Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, and Guilan Science and Technology Park presented their speeches in the webinar.
