Development of Cooperation between IUST and SPbPU

Along with the 4^th Rectors’ Forum for Top Iranian and Russian Universities held in Kish Island on 24^th November, 2018, an appendix to the MoU signed on 2016 between the two parties, was signed on the development of cooperation between Gas Turbine Institute, and Power System Automation and Operation from IUST and Institute of Energy and Transport Systems from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. This appendix succeeded the MoU singed between the two parties in The 2^nd Forum for Top Iranian and Russian Universities held in Tehran in 2016, and the visit paid by their representatives to IUST on March 2017 as well as the meeting of the two universities’ chancellors on 2017 that was followed by the expert negotiations between the two universities for the development of the cooperation in the area of gas turbine and power systems.
Also in this event the exchange of Ph.D. students between the two universities was determined to be programmed. In this event rectors and vice rectors from 13 Iranian and 18 Russian top universities presented their progresses achieved during the last year after the 3^rd forum held in Moscow. Also the capacities and challenges for the international academic cooperation between the two countries was discussed.
